Power on Delay (Assembled Kit Version)

Electrical service blackout, interruptions and abnormal low voltage are prevalent due to bad weather conditions, shortage of generated power, maintenance of electrical systems, etc. These sistuations can damage appliances particularly compressor-type devices such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.

Most homeowners manually switch off their compressor-type appliances during blackouts or electrical service interruptions. Abnormal low voltage conditions, however, could not easily be recognized that the appliances are usually left to work hard. Similarly, power interruptions occuring during nightime, when everyone is sleeping, can occur without them knowing it.

The best way to protect compressor-type appliances against power outages and abnormal low voltage is to automatically switch them OFF and delay the turn ON time for a predetermined safe time interval after the power has returned to normal. The Power on Delay is designed to perform the said tasks.

Power Sentry (Assembled Kit Version)

The over-voltage protector called the Power Sentry can protect any appliance particularly non-compressor-type from sudden loss and resumption of power service, low voltage conditions and abnormal voltage surges of the electric circuits to where the appliance is plugged.

Appliances, whenever operated, are always potentially subject to some harmful effects of unstable electricity arising from poor electrical servuce, inclement weather, or accidents beyond the control of the electrical utility firm.

To protect an appliance, it should be automatically switched off whenever blackouts or power voltage abnormalities occur and then delay its switching "on" for a few minutes after the resumption of normal power, when the line voltage has stabilized already. This is what the Power Sentry is intended to do.
